My weekend in Laval

Visit Date: Friday, 4th April to Monday, 7th April, 2014

In November 2010, I moved from home to Laval, France to spend a year as an Au Pair. I left Laval in August, 2011 so it had been nearly 3 years since I'd been back. When I was there, they parents had just had a new little boy arrive into the family, so it was very strange to see both of them all grown up.

Friday evening I got the chance to catch up with some old friends which was lovely ; Saturday I went to dinner with the family and Sunday was just a chill out night before I had to leave again on the Monday morning. 

The journey on the train was quite long because I had to go via Paris.  

   

Then and now: looks like we all changed a bit.

Château de Montrottier

The Castle of Montrottier is located in the region of the Haute-Savoie, near a village called Lovagny and the Gorges du Fier that I visited a while ago. It was built in the 13th Century but has been restored many times since then.
